LFEX European Aquaculture Snapshot to 3rd July, 2026

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 27 2026 ended the week UP +1.79 NOK /+ 2.81% stand at 65.38 NOK (in EUR terms 5.80 / +0.13 / -2.27%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday.
The NOK rate ended UP at 11.28 (+0.06 /+0.53%) to the Euro to yesterday Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future August was reported DOWN at 5.85 EUR (-2.99% / 0.18) for the same period with September showing 5.80.
The Last Week
An overall positive week for the index. Surprisingly despite good volumes and a bit of volatility to start the week the index levels held up. The week opened up 1.12 NOK / 1.62% at 64.71 versus the close last Thursday. Sentiment seemed to be more negative at this point and the index dropped back again on Monday as the smaller fish dropped, back to a level of 63.47 and the low of the week. We then saw the index nudge up 0.6 of a NOK on Wednesday and 0.8 on Thursday to close out positively at 65.38.
Friday FX rate was volatile but ended with a overall downwards trend over the week having started at levels around 11.30 last Friday and peaked at 11.35 on Tuesday, the levels edged down to 11.25 later yesterday.
Average spreads 3-6s are around 4 NOK, having gapped wider on Monday at nearer 5 NOK as the smaller fish dropped.
Next Week
Indications for next week are coming in at around 65.39 NOK Friday offered levels for the index so no change from Thursday.
Spreads are around 4.5 NOK between 3-6 evenly spread.
The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon has dropped to the 11.24 level this afternoon. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 5.81 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export
Volume figure for week 26 (2026) was 26,564 tons, UP 4,852 tons as compared to 21,712 in 2025 some 22.85% HIGHER. Volumes for weeks 27 and 28 (2025) were 22,602 and 24,500 respectively for comparison.

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 28 2025 ended the week DOWN -0.60 NOK / -0.94% to stand at 63.18 NOK (in EUR terms 5.35 / -0.02 / -0.35%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.80 (-0.07 / -0.59%) to the Euro. The Fish Pool Euronext future August was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday at 5.83 EUR, -0.07 / -1.19%) approximately 68.80 NOK.
