LFEX European Aquaculture Snapshot to 31st July, 2026

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 31 2026 ended the week UP +3.68 NOK /+ 5.29% stand at 73.20 NOK (in EUR terms 6.67 / +0.32 / +5.01%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday.
The NOK rate ended UP at 10.98 (+0.03 / +0.27%) to the Euro to yesterday Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future August was reported UP at 5.95 EUR (+4.94% / +0.28) for the same period with September showing 5.75.
The Last Week
Prices holding up. Offered prices picked up last Friday to 71.03 an increase of 1.5 NOK / 2.17% over last weeks close. Prices remained stable for the week, ticking up very small Monday through Wednesday to 71.5 NOK, with Thursday giving prices a lift to 73.2 and overall, a +5% increase in prices. Interestingly the week prior saw volumes fractionally lower versus the same period the prior year, and we have been used to seeing generally greater comparable volume going through market.
Friday FX rate tracked higher this week from the 10.90 levels to peak at 11.05 on Tuesday in European hours before trending south again to 10.98 on Thursday. Volatility again as global geopolitical issues created the swings in pricing levels.
Average spreads 3-6s were around 3.0 NOK compressing during the week again with the larger fish trading at a premium.
Next Week
Indications for next week are coming in at around 73.5 NOK Friday offered levels for the index is flat / up a little from Thursdays close (+0.5 NOK).
Spreads are back around 5 NOK between 3-6’s with the larger fish maintaining a decent premium over the 2-4s.
The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon is lower again dipping to around the 10.94. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 6.72 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export
Volume figure for week 30 (2026) was 25,822 as compared to 26,055 for the same week last year DOWN 233 tons some 0.97% LOWER. Volumes for weeks 31 and 32 (2025) were 25,317 and 25,796 respectively for comparison. First week in a while that volumes were less in the comparative period.
Historical Price Guidance for Next Week
The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 32 2025 ended the week UP +7.56 NOK / +13.81% to stand at 62.31 NOK (in EUR terms 5.24 / +0.60 / +12.95%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended UP at 11.89 (+0.09 / +0.76%) to the Euro. The Fish Pool Euronext future September was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday at 5.10 EUR, (-0.15 / -2.86%) approximately 60.64 NOK.
