The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 40 2026 ended the week DOWN -0.08 NOK /- 0.11% to stand at 69.92 NOK (in EUR terms 6.43 / -0.05 / -0.76%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday.
The NOK rate ended UP at 10.87 (+0.07 / +0.65%) to the Euro to yesterday Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future November was reported FLAT at 6.45 EUR (+0.00% / +0.00) for the same period with December showing 6.93.
The Last Week
Soft and flat. Offered prices opened up last Friday at 70.92 an increase of 0.92 NOK / +1.31% over last weeks close (70.0), and this was the high of the week. The market ticked down Monday and Tuesday to the low of 69.6 and was pretty flat Wednesday and Thursday to close out at 69.92 some 1 NOK lower over the trading week. Volumes for week 39 (prior week) were huge some 38% ahead of last year.
The FX rate saw some volatility this week from Friday around 10.83 we saw and intraweek low of 10.80 on Monday and then a pick-up over the week to early doors Thursday at near 10.92, followed by a drop off to 10.78 bottom on Thursday and close at 10.87 with significant oil price volatility this week.
Spreads on 3-6s remained all week at around 8 NOK, with 2 NOK between the smaller sizes and 6 NOK to the 5-6s as the similar trend continued.
Next Week
Indications for the index for next week are coming in at around 69.5 NOK Friday offered levels for the index – so 0.5 NOK lower than yesterdays close. Continued good volumes are expected. The large fish premium is over.
Spreads are around the 5 NOK level between 3-6’s as the spread tightens. The reduction coming as 5-6s price at a 3 NOK premium to 4-5s.
The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon is moving around the 10.83 levels so down a little from yesterday. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 6.42 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export Whole Salmon
Volume figure for week 39 (2026) was 32,385 as compared to 23,396 for the same week last year UP
8,989 tons some 38.42% HIGHER. Volumes for whole salmon weeks 40 and 41 (2025) were 24,009 and 26,112 respectively for comparison.

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 41 2025 ended the week DOWN -2.42 NOK / -3.31% to stand at 70.62 NOK (in EUR terms 6.07 / -0.19 / -2.98%) FCA Oslo.The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.63 (-0.04 / -0.34%) to the Euro.The Fish Pool Euronext future November was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday at 6.30 EUR, (-0.15/ 2.33%) approximately 73.26 NOK.
