LFEX European Aquaculture Snapshot to 1st May, 2026

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 18 2026 ended the week UP +11.02 NOK / +14.62% stand at 86.42 NOK (in EUR terms 7.92 / +0.99 / +14.30%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday (yesterday).
The NOK rate ended UP at 11.91 (+0.03 /+0.28%) to the Euro over the same period. The Fish Pool Euronext future June was reported DOWN at 8.10 EUR (-1.22% / -0.10) for the same period for comparison with July showing 6.86.
The Last Week
A strong week last week. Friday pricing was up +4.34 NOK / 5.76% at 79.74 from the prior week levels which was flat to increasing. We saw pricing pick-up across the week with Monday adding a further 3 NOK and Tuesday a near 2 NOK increase to 84.59. Wednesday put on another 1 NOK and close out Thursday 86.42 – which is effectively the new week Friday price given that this Friday is a bank holiday in Norway. Less slaughter days putting some pressure on pricing.
The FX rate saw some movement intra week kicking off on Friday where the rate picked up to 10.99 the peak for the week, down to 10.86 Wednesday and closing out at 10.91.
Wider spreads started to appear over the week closing out at around 5 NOK between 3-6s.
Next Week
Indications for next week are coming in at the 86.42 NOK offered levels for the index, pretty much 1 NOK increase from the prior Wednesday close after the four-day week. Spreads as noted have opened up to around 5 NOK.
The EUR NOK FX rate is this afternoon is around the 10.88 level having rebounded off its lows at around 10.85 earlier today. This makes the price in Euro’s around 7.94 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export
Volume figure for week 17 (2026) was19,424 tons, UP 1,051 tons as compared to 18,343 in 2025 some 5.89% HIGHER. Volumes for weeks 18 and 19 (2025) were 18,958 and 18,073 respectively for comparison.
Historical Price Guidance for Next Week
The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 19 2025 ended the week UP +2.37 NOK / +3.33% to stand at 73.5 NOK (in EUR terms 6.29 / +0.25 / +4.13%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.69 to the Euro. The Fish Pool Euronext future June was reported DOWN -0.40 / -5.71% at 6.60 EUR, approximately 77.15NOK.
