LFEX European Aquaculture Snapshot to 17th July, 2026

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 29 2026 ended the week UP +2.49 NOK /+ 3.79% stand at 68.18 NOK (in EUR terms 6.16 / +0.27 / +4.51%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday.
The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.07 (-0.08 /-0.69%) to the Euro to yesterday Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future August was reported DOWN at 5.65 EUR (-0.88% / 0.05) for the same period with September showing 5.70.
The Last Week
A reasonably strong upward trend. Against market expectation offered index levels had a good week closing some 2.49 NOK higher as compared to the prior week close Thursday. Last Friday saw a reasonable pick-up of 1 NOK to 66.50 or nearly 1.25%. Monday was flat at 66.49 and Tuesday edged higher at 66.58, while Wednesday and Thursday saw good gains of 0.4 NOK and 1.18 NOK respectively. A lot of fish finding homes.
Friday FX rate tracked lower to 11.10 but saw a pick-up on Monday with some Iran tension to 11.17 and though volatile fell over the week closing out at 11.07.
Average spreads 3-6s are around 4.0 NOK evenly spread.
Next Week
Indications for next week are coming in at around 67.64 NOK Friday offered levels for the index so down a little (0.5 NOK) from Thursday close.
Spreads are around 4.5 NOK between 3-6’s with the larger fish gaining a decent premium over the 2-4s.
The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon is lower again dipping to around the 11.04. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 6.13 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export
Volume figure for week 28 (2026) was 26,117 as compared to 24,500 for the same week last year UP 1,617 tons some 6.6% HIGHER. Volumes for weeks 29 and 30 (2025) were 24,412 and 26,055 respectively for comparison.
Historical Price Guidance for Next Week
The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 30 2025 ended the week DOWN -3.40 NOK / -5.59% to stand at 57.39 NOK (in EUR terms 4.83 / -0.25 / -4.96%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.88 (-0.08 / -0.67%) to the Euro. The Fish Pool Euronext future August was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday at 5.30 EUR, -0.49 / -8.46%) approximately 62.96 NOK, with Sept showing 5.55.
