LFEX European Aquaculture Snapshot to 14th August, 2026

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 33 2026 ended the week DOWN -1.10 NOK /- 1.54% to stand at 70.38 NOK (in EUR terms 6.42 / -0.07 / -1.09%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday.
The NOK rate ended DOWN at 10.96 (-0.05 / -0.45%) to the Euro to yesterday Thursday. The Fish Pool Euronext future September was reported UP at 6.15 EUR (+0.82% / +0.05) for the same period with October showing 6.05.
The Last Week
Gently rising. Offered prices opened further down last Friday at 69.28 a fall of 2.2 NOK / 3.08% over last weeks close (71.48), and this was the low of the week. No volatility as prices eased up gently over the week. Not quite half a NOK more on Monday, and up tiny Tuesday (69.79) and Wednesday (70 dead) and Thursday nudged higher for 70.38 and the high. Strong summer volumes were expected but offered prices remained settled.
The FX rate tracked in a narrow range between 10.92 and 11.00 during the week with 10.95 an average which is where we left off approximately on Thursday at 10.96.
Spreads on 3-6s were around 4.5 NOK by the end of the week, fairly evenly spread with the larger fish trading at relative premium – so no change in spread this week.
Next Week
Indications for next week are coming in at around 71 NOK Friday offered levels for the index – some 1.75 NOK above this time last week and represents a small increase from Thursdays close 0f 70.38.
Spreads remain just under the 4.5 NOK level between 3-6’s with the larger fish again maintaining a decent premium over the 2-4s.
The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon is very slightly lower averaging around the 10.94 level. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 6.49 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
Volumes – Fresh Export
Volume figure for week 32 (2026) was 28,602 as compared to 25,796 for the same week last year UP 2,806 tons some 10.88% HIGHER. Volumes for weeks 33 and 34 (2025) were 27,320 and 28,180 respectively for comparison.

The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 34 2025 ended the week UP +0.14 NOK / +0.24% to stand at 59.42 NOK (in EUR terms 5.01 / +0.04 / +0.74%) FCA Oslo. The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.86 (-0.06 / -0.50%) to the Euro. The Fish Pool Euronext future September was reported DOWN Thursday to Thursday at 4.90 EUR, (-0.10 / -2.00%) approximately 58.11 NOK with October showing 5.20.
