The LFEX Norwegian Exporters Index for Week 19 2026 ended the week DOWN -8.41 NOK / -9.96% stand at 76.01 NOK (in EUR terms 7.01 / -0.73 / -9.46%) FCA Oslo Week ending Thursday to Thursday (yesterday).

The NOK rate ended DOWN at 11.85 (-0.06 /-0.55%) to the Euro over the same period. The Fish Pool Euronext future June was reported DOWN at 7.78 EUR (-3.95% / -0.32) for the same period for comparison with July showing 6.84.

The Last Week

A reversal in pricing. Thursday 30th April pricing was down -1.17 NOK / -1.37% at 84.42 from the prior days’ levels. Friday was labour day and closed, and Monday we saw 82.85 as prices softened slightly further into the new week. A one-way street from there as Tuesday took a near 3 NOK out of the index, Wednesday slightly more to 76.75 and we closed out softer at 76.01 for an overall down week of near 10% in NOK terms. Currency strength, logistics costs and demand reductions are putting pressure on distribution.

The FX rate saw some volatility intra week kicking off on Friday where the rate picked come off from 10.91 to 10 86 levels. Down to 10.81 on the 5th before peaking again to 10.92 the following day and closing out near flat for the week at 10.85. The EURNOK rate has been falling since its 18 December peak of 11.98 down some 8.78% to current levels.

Spreads have come in to around the 2.5 NOK level between 3-6s.

Next Week

Indications for next week are coming in at the 76.50 NOK offered levels for the index, pretty much 8 NOK lower than this time last week, and marginally up on yesterday’s close. Left over fish pushed prices lower yesterday and poor sentiment remains, as bigger fish struggle to find a home. A four-day week next week hasn’t provided any support for prices.

Spreads are tighter at around 1.25 NOK between 3-6s.

The EUR NOK FX rate is this afternoon is around the 10.835 level having fallen most of today from a 10.92 level early morning. This makes the price in Euro’s around 7.06 FCA Oslo this afternoon.

Volumes – Fresh Export

Volume figure for week 18 (2026) was 17,714 tons, DOWN 1,244 tons as compared to 18,958 in 2025 some 6.56% LOWER. Volumes for weeks 19 and 20 (2025) were 18,073 and 19,523 respectively for comparison.
