The Last Week

A positive pricing week. Offered prices opened up last Friday at 65.53 an increase of 0.39 NOK / + 0.59% over last weeks close (66.14), and this was the low of the week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all saw prices nudge up small peaking at 67.77 before settling back at 67.46 to end another stable if slightly higher week of index levels.

The FX rate had a bit of a ride this week, falling steadily across the week from Friday at 10.81 all the way down to 10.70 by Thursday as one way traffic, before rebounding sharply back intraday to 10.79 and close of play Thursday.

Spreads on 3-6s widened to 4 NOK during the week and gapped out to nearly 6 NOK as the 5-6s sold at a higher premium at the end of the week.

Next Week

Indications for the index for next week are coming in at around 66.8 NOK Friday offered levels for the index – very similar to this time last week (66.5) and 0.7NOK lower from yesterday. Lots of fish coming through that needs to be sold and prices currently are pretty level at the moment.

Spreads are around the 4.5 NOK level between 3-6’s so closer than yesterday and the 5-6s retain a slightly wider spread from the 3-5’s.

The EUR NOK FX rate this afternoon is moving around the 10.79 levels so not much change here. This makes the offered price in Euro’s around 6.19 FCA Oslo this afternoon.
